The Emdat system is an ASP(Application
Service Provider), allowing your set up costs to be very low, and ongoing
maintenance costs are eliminated. It also means that any upgrades of the
system are delivered to you completely free and automatically. The system
is designed with security in mind. No information can be saved to desktop
by typists, and if your typists work off site, the 128bit-encryption
technology allows voice and data files to be sent securely via the
internet.

Automatic Uploading of
voice files

All voice and text files are fully encrypted (scrambled) for total

For the Health
information Manager/Practice Manager:

transcription files is automatically performed by the system, and can be
monitored or overridden if required.

Emdat provides efficiencies for the transcriptionist through auto text,
Macros and medical spell checker. Patient demographics can also be

Typing can be done from anywhere in the world through secure logons.
As a security measure, no files are (or can be) downloaded to a typists
personal computer.
After transcription
is completed:
All dictations will be returned automatically to where you require.
Folders can be set up so the document can be sent through anywhere from
1-4 levels of review after it is returned to you. Documents can also be
deposited directly into your EMR if required.
Cc’s can be automatically sent
to associates.
Many different report types can be set eg Operation Notes, Progress
Notes. Letterhead templates can be set up for letters which are to be
printed and sent.
Cover letters and envelopes can be set up and printed free of charge.
After return medical facility personnel can view, edit, print and/or
electronically sign documents. Documents that require electronic
signatures are watermarked with the work “Preliminary” until the
clinician electronically signs them on-line.
Reporting:
Emdat suite of applications provides a range of reports to suit your
needs. Reports include:
Transcriptionist report – Will
show all work which has been typed or QA’d, split by staff member. This report is designed to measure
productivity.
Outsourced to – This report will
show you all work which has been outsourced to NTS transcriptions.
Turnaround report – This report
will show the turnaround times for all transcriptions.
User Pools – This report will
allow you to see the pools each user is set up for and the
transcriptionists that can type for each user.
Document Report – A listing of documents
by work type, and the number of each performed.
